The Neighbourhood and Care Army Connect initiative is now complete.

About the Initiative

The Neighbourhood and Care Army Connect (NCAC) Workers Program, a Queensland Government initiative in partnership with the Care Army and proudly supported by Volunteering Queensland, has now ended.

Throughout the 12-month pilot program Volunteering Queensland saw Connect Workers undertake roles within Neighbourhood and Community Centres across the state to identify the local volunteering needs within their communities and become local volunteer management experts in their region.

As a result of the work and collaboration undertaken by Connect Workers and these local Neighbourhood and Community Centres, invaluable connections were made between volunteers and Volunteer Involving Organisations (VIOs), and localised support and information was provided on volunteering.

We are very proud of the positive impact the NCAC Program has had within the respective localities.

Although The NCAC Program has ended, support for the volunteering space is never far away. Please see the state-based and region-specific support available below.
