National Volunteer Week 2021 (NVW2021) celebrated the invaluable contribution of the volunteering community across Australia.
Volunteering Queensland, alongside Volunteering Australia and the other state peak bodies lead the nation in celebrating the important work of volunteers across the country.
Following from events of 2020 which saw a huge shift in the sector and many pertinent events cancelled, NVW2021 a celebration was one to remember.
May 17 – 23, 2021 paid homage to over 3 million Queenslanders who volunteered 900 million hours of their time, making an extraordinary impact on individuals, communities and the environment around us.
The week played host to a number of key events and program launches.
